Founded in 2009 by a group of first-generation Zomi residents, Zomi Innkuan Houston is dedicated to supporting the Zomi community and anyone from Myanmar, particularly those from Chin State, as they navigate life in the USA. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where individuals and families can find resources, connection, and a sense of belonging.
At ZIH, we understand the challenges of adapting to a new culture and environment. That’s why we focus on providing assistance and guidance to help our community thrive in the diverse landscape of the United States. Our initiatives include organizing cultural events, workshops, and gatherings designed to celebrate our rich heritage and foster community spirit.
We believe in the importance of passing down our traditions to the next generation. Through our programs, we teach children about their roots and empower them to embrace and share our vibrant culture, ensuring that the unique identity of the Zomi people continues to flourish.
Join us in building a strong, connected community where Zomi identity and culture can thrive!
